WASTE:
- Please advise any guests of the location of the bin store and how to use the bins provided.
- Please observe the notices in the bin store;
- Do not leave unwanted bulky items in the bin store expecting them to just disappear.
- Please use and fill one bin before starting another.
- Please do use the recycling bins where available and for the appropriate materials.
- Do not dispose of or store any flammable or noxious materials in the bins or store
Fire Safety
- If you discover a fire push the nearest call point (red box) located in the common areas to sound the alarm, call 999 to alert the emergency services.
- Leave the building immediately on hearing the fire alarm sound and insist others leave the building with you.
- Do ensure you are aware of the nearest communal fire call point
- Do ensure you are aware of the nearest exit (avoiding the lifts)
- Do place a visual emergency escape plan in your apartment should you allow guests to use your apartment without you being present.
- Do not attempt to fight the fire yourself unless you have received specific training on the use of fire fighting equipment.
- Do not dispose of or store any flammable materials in the bins, store or your apartment.
- Do not light a barbecue on any area of the development
- It is an offence to smoke in any common area of the development.
- Please request your guests refrain from disposing of their cigarette ends within the curtilage of the development and in particular outside the main entrance doors.
- SURF AND BIKE STORAGE:
- Please label your equipment with at least your apartment number.
- PARKING:
- Do always ensure your parking permit is fully visible in your windscreen whilst parked at Zinc;
- Do park considerately and well within the lines of the parking bays.
- Please allow the garage doors to complete their programmed open and close routine;
- Parking is restricted to one domestic motor vehicle only.
- Do not store anything within a parking bay.
- Do not play games or allow children to run free within the garage
- GENERAL:
- Do contact the host should you find any item of equipment to be out of service or if you require assistance with any other issue regarding the common areas of the development ie all areas not specifically leased to you.
- Do not attempt to undertake any works yourself within the common areas or tamper with equipment as you will not be insured to do so and should your actions cause either injury or damage you may be held legally responsible.
- Please respect your neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum especially between the hours of 11pm to 7am.
- Keep your property safe. If you choose to use an onsite key safe, change the code frequently and ensure the use of a key safe does not compromise any insurances you may have in place.
- Do not use glass/pottery topped tables and decorative items of similar materials on patios and especially balconies to avoid causing damage or injury to any person should they break or fall due to accident or high winds.
- Do not store any item on the balcony for extended periods (pots/plants/furniture/objet d’art etc) as this may damage the surface.
- Do not climb on any wall or railing or allow children to do so.
- Do not park bicycles or leave any other item within any of the common areas, to include lobbies, stairwells, corridors – this includes door mats, due to trip injury.
- Do not meddle with any of the communal equipment ie and not exclusively fire equipment, garage door, lifts, corridor heaters locks etc.
- Do remove sand from wetsuits/clothing and equipment before bringing it into the building. Do not use the apartment bathrooms to clean these items as it may compromise the waste system.
- Do not flush anything non-organic into the toilets ie nappies, sanitary products, wet wipes, underwear or bedding.
- Not to do anything contravening the terms of your lease or allow any other person or guest to do so.
